Strategic Outreach

Aspire to HE works with local organisations to understand where there is a lack of information, advice and guidance and outreach provision.

We then collaboratively agree where activity and funding for strategic outreach can have the most impact on underrepresented learners in the area, and fund new or existing collaborative initiatives, or act as a facilitator for new programmes.

Each year we invite education providers, local charities and other parties who work with underrepresented and/or disadvantaged groups to bid for funds through Strategic Outreach. Applications for 2023-24 are now open and the guidance document and application form are available for download below.

Aspire to HE have supported a variety of projects through Strategic Outreach funding. Last year our projects helped reach over 11,000 students across the Black Country and Telford and Wrekin.

Uni Connect partnerships such as Aspire to HE aim to advise schools and colleges on the higher education information, advice and guidance and outreach provision that is available in their area. Our dedicated signposting page provides links to local and national provision to support students and education providers in making informed decisions.
